Availability update for school holidays 8-25 April 2017:

• Week 2 (17-20 April): plenty of space
• Anzac weekend (21-24 April, 4 nt minimum): space but filling fast

The Steps of Girrba Campground is a riverside holiday destination of spectacular natural beauty at The Steps rapids on the Barrington River. This is boutique campground with a limit on campers so there's plenty of space. 

Although it feels like wilderness, you'll love our 'luxe' amenities block with hot showers, flushing toilets, filtered river water for drinking and cooking, and disabled access. There are two permanent shelters that can be hired if you'd to set up a camp kitchen for your group.
 
On the river you'll find plenty of quiet swimming holes for family fun; try paddling the rapids in a kayak, canoe or surf mat; or take to the trails of our cross-country mountain bike park.

The surrounding mountain ranges offer many different walks, hikes or mountain bike adventures depending on your age and skill level. 

Or you can just sit back and listen to the sounds of the Barrington River cascading its way over the famous Steps Rapids while you watch the wallabies graze.
